Refrigeration Technician

About the role

Palace Hotel Arusha is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Refrigeration Technician for its Dar es‑Salaam location. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems to ensure guest comfort and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Repair or replace faulty components promptly.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Collaborate with the broader maintenance team.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure systems operate efficiently to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Proficiency in preventive maintenance and general maintenance & repair.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Good knowledge of electricity as applied to refrigeration equipment.
• Experience maintaining HVAC systems.
• Ability to work on‑site and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Commitment to safety standards and regulations.
• Relevant technical certifications or a diploma in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field; hospitality experience is a plus.
