GA Merchandiser – Retail Field Representative

About the role

The GA Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring our products are optimally displayed and stocked across modern trade and general trade outlets. You will work directly with store managers and field sales teams to execute promotions, maintain shelf standards, and gather market intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily call cycles with the supervisor, covering priorities, promotions, new products, and price changes.
• Enter and maintain accurate data on Hand‑Held Terminals (HHT) while adhering to data‑hygiene standards.
• Visit assigned stores to build relationships, answer queries, and provide product information.
• Maintain store shelves by arranging displays, removing damaged or outdated items, and ensuring optimal product placement.
• Monitor inventory levels, restock shelves, and alert supervisors when re‑ordering is needed.
• Set up and monitor special promotions, capture customer reactions, and report observations to management.
• Identify cross‑merchandising opportunities and execute approved plans.
• Report new, expanding, or closing supermarkets within the territory.
• Stay informed about competitor products and market positioning.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 months experience in merchandising or a related retail role.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and organise daily activities.
• Professional appearance and adherence to company uniform standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using Hand‑Held Terminals (HHT) for data entry.
