Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a Special Economic Zone/industrial zone project. The role oversees contractors from contract award through construction, ensuring quality, schedule and cost objectives are met in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contractors and EPC partners throughout all construction phases, from engineering‑construction contracts to commissioning.
• Coordinate daily meetings with engineers, architects and subcontractors to track progress and resolve issues.
• Manage project quality control, cost monitoring and adherence to design criteria and codes.
• Develop, approve and implement the Project Execution Plan and capture lessons learned.
• Report progress, risks and opportunities to senior management and the board.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with at least 10 years of experience in construction and infrastructure projects.
• Proven background in EPC contract management and PPP infrastructure delivery, preferably in Africa or other emerging markets.
• Fluent in French (oral and written) and proficient in English.
• Strong ability to build relationships with government officials, industry partners and other stakeholders.
