Capital Project Superintendent

About the role

The Capital Project Superintendent will lead the delivery of major capital construction projects at Bulyanhulu Gold Mine, overseeing all phases from mobilisation to hand‑over. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager and multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and write project reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate and supervise installations, commissioning, and testing activities.
• Maintain a job‑records database and guarantee data integrity.
• Raise purchase requisitions accurately and on time.
• Ensure technical integrity and consistency of design output.
• Manage QA/QC functions and change‑management processes.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly department reports in line with procedural compliance and corporate governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a project‑management role.
• Proven experience on large‑scale multidisciplinary projects exceeding USD 10 million.
• Strong financial management and numeracy skills.
• Experience in mining‑industry construction is an advantage.

Required skills

• Project Management principles, methods, techniques and tools.
• MS Project or equivalent scheduling software.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, civil and instrumentation systems.
• QA/QC management.
• Change management and operational readiness.
