Technical Lead – National Article 6 Framework

About the role

Palladium is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to provide strategic and analytical guidance for the development of Tanzania's National Article 6 Framework. Working closely with the Vice President's Office, the Green Growth Facility and a Tanzanian Policy Lead, you will shape a robust, internationally‑aligned carbon market architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, analysis and consolidated drafting of the National Article 6 Framework.
• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of Tanzania's readiness for Article 6.2, 6.4 and 6.8 activities, identifying gaps and implementation needs.
• Coordinate with the Tanzanian Policy Lead, government stakeholders, and international partners to ensure analytical coherence.
• Provide recommendations on registry operations, ITMO tracking, decision‑making tools and safeguards.
• Support the preparation of policy documents, technical architecture diagrams and stakeholder consultation materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience in climate policy, carbon markets or UNFCCC Article 6 processes.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills, with a track record of delivering policy‑oriented technical documents.
• Experience working in multi‑national teams and liaising with government agencies.
• Ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear, actionable recommendations.
