Electrical Site Engineer (Telecom & Energy)

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Site Engineer to join AIO Systems’ field team in Tanzania. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning and maintaining our smart power and monitoring solutions at telecom sites, ensuring reliable operation of hybrid energy systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission AIO power and monitoring systems at telecom sites.
• Integrate electrical, battery and remote‑monitoring components with existing infrastructure.
• Conduct site acceptance tests (SAT/ATP) and verify full system functionality.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on power and monitoring equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, system alarms and performance issues.
• Support remote monitoring, ensure accurate data transmission and reporting.
• Carry out firmware/software upgrades and hardware replacements as needed.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, installation procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Keep detailed installation records, maintenance logs and service reports, including photo documentation.
• Coordinate site access, work within defined maintenance windows and provide on‑site technical support and basic training to customers.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to meet rollout targets and respond quickly to critical faults.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree (B.Eng/BSc/HND) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 + years experience in electrical or telecom field operations.
• Experience with telecom power systems such as rectifiers, batteries and solar installations is highly preferred.
• Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work in field environments and travel across regions in Tanzania.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
