Digital Project Manager

About the role

World Vision's VisionFund office in Tanzania is looking for a Digital Project Manager on a local fixed-term contract. The role drives digital transformation and IT project delivery, manages change initiatives such as converting paper forms to digital platforms, and oversees compliance, risk and ethics. It is open to local applicants only.

Key responsibilities

• Project and change management: plan, execute and monitor IT projects under the VisionFund framework, align stakeholders, secure approvals, train staff and run post-implementation reviews
• Digital transformation: prepare business concepts, budgets and timelines, supervise daily execution of projects such as LMMS, CRM and interbank systems, and drive staff adoption
• Compliance and risk: review solutions against local laws, manage technological risks within appetite limits and ensure accurate regulatory reporting
• Risk, compliance and ethics: uphold the Group's Code of Conduct, identify and resolve risk, conduct and compliance issues
• People management: oversee, motivate and coordinate team members, clarify roles and resolve conflicts

Required profile

• Graduate with a relevant degree or higher in IT, computer science or management (or equivalent)
• Certificate in project management (PMP)
• 3 years of working experience in project management
• Understanding of VFT IT infrastructure, banking ICT infrastructure, planning and development
• Ability to interact with external stakeholders and regulatory authorities
• Initiative, perseverance and ability to motivate and manage a team

Required skills

• Knowledge of financial procedures, banking operations and payment and credit operations
• Business process analysis and system requirement specifications

• Basic to advanced knowledge of project tools and Office tools (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Visio, MS Publisher)
