4G LTE Optimization Engineer (Radio Networks)

About the role

We are looking for a performance‑focused 4G LTE Optimization Engineer with hands‑on experience in radio networks. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end optimization activities, from pre‑launch readiness to post‑launch performance assurance, ensuring a high‑quality LTE user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate LTE RF design according to Nokia planning guidelines (PCI, RACH/RSI, TAC, EARFCN, antenna configuration, power mapping).
• Perform Site Readiness Verification and Cluster Readiness checks before commercial launch.
• Analyze baseline KPIs using Nokia NetAct, conduct drive tests with TEMS or Nemo, and optimize RAN parameters (cell power, antenna tilt, PRACH, handover settings).
• Validate PCI planning, resolve conflicts, and ensure mobility readiness (X2/S1 HO, LTE‑3G/2G IRAT).
• Support feature activation (ANR, load balancing) and coordinate with planning, deployment, and core teams.
• Prepare pre‑launch reports, go‑live recommendations, and post‑launch performance dashboards.
• Monitor and improve key LTE KPIs (accessibility, retainability, mobility, throughput) through deep‑dive analysis and parameter tuning.
• Investigate customer complaints, support capacity optimization, carrier aggregation configuration, and new site integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on LTE radio optimization experience, preferably with Nokia networks.
• Proven experience in both pre‑launch and post‑launch LTE projects.
• Strong background in RF planning and optimization principles.

Required skills

• Nokia NetAct OSS (performance monitoring, KPI analysis, troubleshooting).
• Drive‑test tools: TEMS, Nemo.
• LTE RF design and planning concepts (PCI, RACH, EARFCN, antenna tilt).
• KPI management and analysis.
• Hand‑over parameter optimization (X2/S1, IRAT).
• ANR configuration, carrier aggregation tuning, load balancing.
